Your little one may benefit from therapy if he/she has

  • Expressive and Receptive language delays ("late talkers")

They heavily rely on gestures or non-verbal language to communicate their wants and needs. They have not begun to combine words (2 words at 2 years, 3 words at 3 years). They have difficulty following instructions, identifying named items, or participating in social routines.

  • Expressive and Receptive Language Disorder

They may have difficulty using complete sentences or difficulty using correct word order. Their stories are difficult to follow, lack details, or have grammatical errors.

  • Speech Sound Disorders

There are several sounds that your child has difficulty pronouncing. You/your family or friends have difficulty understanding your child on a regular basis. You notice that his/her peers are easier to understand.

  • Fluency/Stuttering

Your child may sound like he or she is repeating sounds or words (i.e., "b-b-b-bird"), getting stuck on certain sounds, or even lengthening sounds (i.e., caaaaat).
